When we experience dry summers the ground temperature rises and many moorlands and wooded areas become a tinder box, not to mention in recent summers arsonists causing mayhem in populated areas.
We have highly skilled helicopter fire fighting capabilities and with the support of our dedicated ground based fire crews we can quickly deliver water to hot spots.
Using Bambi buckets, we can drop up to 200 gallons of water per lift. To complement this method, a “fire sock” can be easily attached to the bucket to allow a greater dispersion of the water (e.g. a mist) which can be more suitable for grassland fires. Our equipment also includes a Sacksofoam unit which has the capability to provide a blanket of foam to be laid should this be required.
Water is collected from nearby waters sources or we can provide mobile units to allow operation nearer to the problem areas.
We can offer a rapid response aerial fire service, plus 24 hour stand-by cover if required, so we can deploy our services quickly to help ground based operations.
